Presently, the doctor works at Lenox Hill Hospital where he acts as Chief of Robotic Surgery and Chairman of Urology. He is a certified urologist oncologist where he specializes in detecting, diagnosing, and treating bladder cancer, kidney and prostate cancer, and urologic disease. He is among the few U.S. surgeons trained in open surgery and oncology. His mission is to create the necessary attention and global awareness in various conditions affecting men.
Dr. David Samadi is originally from Iran. In 1979, together with his younger brother, Samadi left Iran following the Iranian Revolution. They moved to Belgium and London where they continued their education. The two brothers later came to the U.S. where Dr. David Samadi completed his high school education in Roslyn, New York. Samadi later enrolled at Stony Brook University to study biochemistry. After his degree, he joined the Stony School of Medicine where he earned his M.D. By 1996, Samadi had completed his postgraduate education in proctology and urology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center respectively. Over the last ten years, Dr. David Samadi has performed more than 7,000 prostate cancer surgeries most of which have been successful.
